Okay, so, I wrote this a few months ago and Mother-dearest wants me to post it.
The inspiration was a band concert at my school. I play the flute, and enjoy it a lot, soooooo.
The Concert
I take my place among the musicians. It is the night we have been striving for. Our conductor gives the command and we begin. The drummers lead our song. They are the fathers, steady, harsh, yet comforting. The clarinets and the saxophones join in, they are the mothers, kind, pushing, wise. The trumpets donate their voice. They are the brothers, lazy, but always there to keep you on track. We flutes join the song. We are the older sister, annoying, wise, and beautiful. The audience's song is the loudest by far, it drums into my ears. They are the mice that no one wants. But we have to put up with them, for tonight is The Concert.
No recommendations now, see next post!
(No offense to any instrument or audience!)
